This building will highlight the various major dockyards in Australia and their contribution to the Navy, with a lot of items from GI and Spectacle Island in its fit out.

Submarines have been included in the Centre and a periscope last used in HMAS OTAMA is on display with views from the Zoo to South Head can be seen through it.

Guided Group Tours of Garden Island. The Naval Historical Society of Australia operates guided group tours which are open to the public and the minimum group size is 30. Normal fees and charges apply. The tours are tremendously popular and are often booked out several months in advance.
